Cold Weather Roofing Challenges presented by John Pohorsky, GAF

Discuss the pros and cons of various low slope and steep slope roofing challenges in cold weather.  Many manufacturers have provided roofing contractors with products and installation methods for extreme installation conditions to extend the roofing "window".  This program will discuss both the pros of extending the window and the cons.  It is important to note there are tradeoffs and to educate the building owner prior to proceeding with a roof installation so there are no unexpected surprises upon completion.  Many projects which are scheduled for summer or favorable weather installations are delayed and the installation may be pushed until cold winter weather conditions.  The roofing contractor and/ or specifier/ consultant should provide the building owner with both the pros and cons of adapting to these weather conditions.
