The Portland Chapter of RCI invites all consultants, contractors, and design professionals practicing in the roofing, waterproofing and building enclosure fields to attend a Lunch & Learn presentation on Stormwater Management on the Roof: Vegetated Roofs and Blue Roofs. The presentation will provide 1.0 AIA/RCI CEH, and if attending in person includes a sack lunch. You may also attend the presentation as a webinar, where credit will only be granted to registered attendees.
This presentation, “Stormwater Management on the Roof: Vegetated Roofs and Blue Roofs”, will provide a sound grounding in the essential principals of providing green roof assemblies from waterproofing thru overburden. The contribution of green roof assemblies to storm water management with a special focus on large volume detention called Blue Roofs will be explored.

Mr. John Herrmann is President of Bain Associates, Inc, a Portland based independent manufacturer’s representatives firm. John has been a member of RCI since 1993. John holds a CDT credential from CSI and has been a member since 1985. John is also a member of Portland BEC and SeaBec and has been a sponsoring member of each.
Over the years, John has worked with single ply waterproofing system, self-adhered systems, cold applied systems and today works with hot fluid applied waterproofing, resin applied waterproofing and multi-ply SBS waterproofing. Today, John’s daily routine is document and detail review and development on many of the most prominent projects in the West, through designers in Oregon and Southwestern Washington.
